Thread: Vivian the Cunning, or Vivian the Shunned?

    Lightbulb Vivian the Cunning, or Vivian the Shunned?

    We all know about Vivian's amazing ability to sit and spray down alley ways, paths, and various other straight lines you tend to walk across, and do it for a (seemingly endless according to some) long amount of time. That's what people in general do with a gun literally built to suppress an area and punish the braver - and quite dumber - folks who decide to cross anyways. Vivian's Talents revolve around dictating which straight line Vivian will be busy spraying down: Suspect Everyone for paths that will be moderately crossed by both teams, Opportunity in Chaos when Vivian is going to spray down the main path, Booby Trap when Vivian is going to spray down flank paths, And sapper rounds when Vivian is going to spray across or into objectives. Her deck cards that don't revolve around one of her abilities tend to support one of these 4 talents.

    Not many people like her. Not because she's too good or too bad or so in-between that everyone forgets her, but because, at least to many, all she seems capable of doing is holding left mouse button down and dealing damage through that. Even I gotta admin that Vivian deals more damage with her main fire button. Who would've guess that a champion's main fire button dealt damage.

    What can we do about Vivian the Shunned that'll make her players use a few more brain cells (since the community can only seem to think about what she has now)? I've seen players suggest she used a shotgun, or removed her shield or what not. Maybe swap her shield for a mobility ability? Next thing they'll want is to give her an apple so she'll stay healthy and regen health or something.

    How about, instead of trying to redo Buck so you Maeve Main Wannabes can get a new waifu that doesn't come from the western depths of Finnish Siberia (rip Tyra, hope she can learn to use her scope some year. Or at least steady her aim instead of spraying like a T34 hot off the Russian assembly lines. :<), let's go with a Strix clone instead. I know Vivian isn't a total, absolutely buff baller with a 12 pack of crystal-charged ultra-abs like Fernando, but she definitely has room in her back void where she hides her Frisbee Disks of Doom that could used for... well... more appropriate Frisbee disks. And I bet that shield isn't quite the piece of paper it might as well be, either. Let's just toss that out, give the spare parts to Skye to make something useful out of it.

    So now, we have an empty slate and some extra room. What could her Frisbee disks do? Well, sensor mines were an amazing first thought. They aren't quite as blatantly obvious as Kinessa's dinner plates, since you're only left with a "revealed" alert instead of a line directing you to the stupid thing, so maybe we can add some extra punishment for not being careful. Vivian could be given an additional 3-4 max deployed sensor "mines", which explode for 300 damage when either hit by any projectile or explosion, stepped on by an enemy, or triggered by an enemy stepping through an invisible line projecting forward from the drone (which can be revealed through illumination or Cassie's Ult Reveal). 300 might seem like hot garbage, but 5 300's is 1500, and 4 is still 1200. The explosion radius would be 20ft like normal, without falloff.

    Her shield is replaced with a toggle Q, which lets her swap loadouts between LMG/Mines and SMG/Binoculars/Coin. Swapping takes 1 second and puts all other abilities on cooldown for 2 seconds or their remaining cooldown, whichever is longer.

    Binoculars reveal things you are looking at that don't have a wall between you and it, but sticks you in a sniper scope while in use and reduces speed by 50%, and shares RMB with LMG's scope. Bringing up and letting down Binocs takes .5 seconds, and will have a "reflexes"-styled card for it replacing the CD reduction card for sensor mines when using precision sights.

    Coin Toss tosses a credit into the battlefield, letting off an occasional distracting flash of light. Nothing like Strix's Discord Light Theme White, but it'll definitely grab players' attentions. The credit becomes neutral on use, and can even be picked up. You can press Coin Toss up to 5 times, which toss 15 credits randomly in front of you, each sparkling in their own random intervals and each without a timer. Credits will be wiped from the map after the end of each push, and up to 20 credit items can be around the map at any time. The ability has a 2 second cooldown, and will not be reduced by any deck card.

    Now for numbers. Nerds like numbers. I do too, so here they are.

    Vivian:
    • Health
      • Up to 2300 from 2200 (Allowing health cards, if you were really dedicated to it, to save Vivian from The Light(TM).

    • LMG (LMB)
      • LMG damage up to 185 at per .14s from 170 at per .14s (From 1214.286 dps to 1321.428 dps. Closer in-line to the other 2 pew pew pew champs, Viktor and Tyra.)
      • Reload time increased from 4 seconds to 6. Gotta be careful with this stronger crystal.
      • Speed reduction while firing remains the same.

    • SMG (LMB)
      • Damage: 68
      • Fire Rate: 0.05 seconds (Total DPS: 1394)
      • Accuracy: 90%-83% (-4% per shot)
      • Ammo Count: 25
      • Reload Time: 1.5 seconds

    • Hot Swap (Q)
      • Cooldown: 1 second
      • Special: Sets other abilities on a 2 second cooldown if they have less than 2 seconds.

    • Binoculars (RMB>SMG)
      • Speed reduction: 50%
      • Reveal Range: 500 ft (Does not go through walls or deployables. Goes through shields.)
      • Zoom: 4x

    • Scope-In (RMB>LMG)
      • Increases accuracy by 75% and zooms in to aim at your targets with precision gunfire.

    • Sensor Mine (F>LMG)
      • Cooldown: 10 seconds/charge
      • Charges: 2 uses
      • View range: 40 ft (down from 50)
      • Trigger range: 2 ft
      • Laser Trigger range: 70 ft
      • Explosion Range, Damage: 20ft, 300
      • Mine Health (Deployable): 400
      • Max Mines Deployed: 5
      • Damage: 300 (area damage)

    • Coin Toss (F>SMG)
      • Cooldown: 2 seconds (Restores 5 charges)
      • Credits required/tossed: 15/use (up to 75)
      • Delay: 0.5 seconds
      • Damage/Credit: 25
      • Sparkle interval: 1-4 seconds


    • Ultimate: Riposte (E)
      • Gain CC Immunity and Cleansing and Damage immunity to enemy ultimates for 1.5 seconds.
      • Vivian prepares for the worst, using quick thinking and wits to avoid the strongest attacks and abilities of her enemies. She lowers her weapon, and braces for any impact she might face during Riposte.
      • Vivian is effected by Disarm during the duration.
      • Voice Line: "You would think that would work, wouldn't you?"


    Talents
    • Shrapnel Charge:
      • When triggered, your mines launch 20 pellets in a burst forward, dealing up to 400 Direct damage up to 40ft away.
      • Damage drop-off occurs at 25ft, dropping to 40% damage per pellet.

    • Dug In (Level 8):
      • After firing for 3 seconds, you are rooted, take 60% reduced damage, are CC immune, and receive 50% less healing until you move again after you stop firing.

    • Crystal-Link (Level 4):
      • Any enemy revealed to you with your Sensor Mine or Binoculars is revealed to your allies as well.

    • Cunning Dexterity (Level 12):
      • If you were hit by an ultimate during the duration of Riposte, you gain 30% additional movement speed for 3 seconds and Riposte recharges by 50%.

    Some interesting idea , hopefully the devs take notice of all the Vivian feedback people have been trying to put out lately.

    I actually like the champion and hope she improves, she really needs it.

    Nerf is needed for Vivian.

    She is not only a damage but also a frontline-like hero. She has excessive amount of damage and shield. It is impossible for flanks to kill her. Her shiled's hp or her damage should be reduced.

    Gonna bump this. I'll set up a list of cards to tack onto the list above (after cleaning the horrible BB codes) to add onto this idea because I am legitimately dedicated to this idea and all its replies were "nerf viv" and "viv is a noob champ" even though this rework is meant to fix it entirely by adding risks and related rewards.     yo digo que solo bufear todo su kit un poco:
    ataque basico: de 170 a 175
    ralentización al disparar: de 50% a 40%
    escudo: de 1400 de hp a 1600 de hp
    drone: de 10 segundos de cd a 7 segundos de cd
    sentinelas: de tener 1200 de hp cada uno a 1500 de hp cada uno - de hacer 200 de daño cada uno a 210 de daño cada uno (y aumentar la tasa de recarga de su ulti, no recuerdo haber visto un nerf en esto pero su ulti se demora una eternidad en cargar)

    con esto creo que quedaria mas viable

    You drop your weapon, and gain a coat of crystalline power. You gain 50% speed bonus and 50% dmg reduction. 20% of the Damage done to you is reflected back to the player who inflicted it. Lasts 2 sec.
    (Cards for this will be added later)(this gives Vivian more mobility)
