Thread: Makoa must be nerfed. his hook needs a longer cooldown or some other nerf.

    Both of these are not a hook problems, but a hitbox problems. Grover and Meaves attack would also have hit him there. The reason for the rage is that the result of being hit by the hook often can be worse than being hit by a single attack.

    Also, when the anchor connects, the visual effect is from the center of the hit model, so the chain can look really shady at times. Especially when you get hit on the far edge of your hitbox.

    I used to think Makoa needed a nerf, and then I realized how horrible of a shielding ability his shell shield really is.

    The damage bonus is the real problem. Getting stunned and pulled into the middle of the enemy team is bad enough, but the huge damage that follows up gives no room for counter play. The only thing you can do, unless playing certain champions, is simply stay away from Makoa. His existance is enough to zone an area.

    When we have champions like Lian and Counter Zhin running around, you need a hero like Makoa to step in, hook someone in the face, and sort the men from boys.

    But seriously, he is absolutely fine the way he is. Cripple his hook and he becomes a fat Ninja Turtle with a crappy shield.

    These "weird hooks" occur because Makoa actually shots his hook from the left side, resulting in sometimes hooking around corners that are to the right.
    Even bigger bs is hooking someone from high ground, due to shadow glitching and ridiculous vertical aspect of hitboxes you can hook people on balcony on Stone Keep without actually seeing them.

    IMO Makoa should stay the way he is, but if you want to nerf him, reduce his bonus damage on hook. Although this will make him even more useless in low ELO.

    Makoa shouldn't be able to turn while hooking so he can't take u off map. His hook shouldn't be guaranteed kill by pushing off map that is op ass hell.

    They could make the hook drag to the origin of where it was cast, not where he's facing. That would be enough

    Pluck should come with a 1000 HP loss.
    Im serious, if you WANT damage as a TANK you are not allowed to also have 5000 HP.
