View Full Version : New Gamemode Ideas?

So first off, I'd just like to say that I don't know where to put this, so if I misplaced it sorry and can a mod please move it to where it should go.

With that out of the way, I'd just like to say that I loved playing paladins for the first few hours.

But playing payload over and over is really boring :(

I think that we should have some other gamemodes, or at least some new objectives. Some classic gamemodes from FPSs like Capture the Flag, Domination, and Team Deathmatch would be fun, and maybe some new ones too, which I do have some ideas for.

1. Scavenger (Locate and secure packages found around the map)

2. Escort (You one player designated as the VIP on your team and you have to get him to the other team's spawn point without dying)

3. Escape (The map is going to blow up and there are two rockets, each one near a team's spawn, but not too close. There are resource packages spread around the map that players must collect and return to the rocket to fuel it. A rocket can take off when they have enough resources and at least 4 teammates are on board, but just one team supplied resources to a rocket doesn't mean the other team can't board it and take off)

4. Attack/Defend (This is more of an objective, one team attacks a high HP Titan while the other team defends it)

5. Amplified! (Superspeed, Super Jump, Double Jump, Cooldown Reduction, Skiiing, Jetpack, etc. Just a lot of amplified factors that make the game super fun!)

Ideas, tips, feedback? Glad to hear them.

I am not sure if this game has this or not but just a Team Deathmatch first team to 75-100 kills wins and each player starts with a decent amount of points to put into skills but can't earn anymore during the game.

Search and destroy type game mode where you only have only life per round, pretty much same game modes as they have now but just more hardcore.

Capture the Flag, pretty basic but would be fun with this kind of gameplay I would think.

So much this. How is this game mode any less pve(supposedly the number 1 reason we lost old seige) then pushing a non-playable cart.

- Arena ( 3v3, 5v5) small, death pit kinda maps

- Current assault mode is good but the pace is off. Cart moves way too fast and idk the games are simply way too freakin short by the time you are into it it's over.

- Random Brawl: Random champs, shuffles champ on death and lose ult charge. all gamemodes.

- Supercharge: Players rush mid and fight for battery( long area cap) and escort battery back at team beacon, defend beacon and battery from getting stolen. First team to reach 500 charge on beacon wins.

- Capture and hold style with 3 capture points at various elevation.

I don't even remember the old siege mode the maps were just too dreadful I spent entire games just cursing the level designer.
